I care about the thing on the other side of the screen, the person who has to use what I build, and whether it actually makes their life a little better. I like hard problems in many disciplines. I go deep on new things, often. I change my mind when the evidence asks me to. Right now, co-founding Operating Co, a forward-deployed AI firm, where I lead engineering. Before that, co-founded an AI company, wound it down, kept the lessons. Before that, led engineering at First Round Capital for three and a half years. Before that, a scattered list of places that each taught me something lasting.
